President Tinubu Appoints Governing Council and Principal Officers for Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of the Pro-Chancellor, Governing Council members, and Principal Officers for the newly established Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences (FUT ES Iyin-Ekiti) in Ekiti State.
Leadership Appointments
Senator Binta Masi Garba has been named Pro-Chancellor and Chairperson of the university’s Governing Council. A distinguished politician, businesswoman, and administrator, Senator Garba previously represented Adamawa North Senatorial District in the Senate from 2015 to 2019 and served in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2011.
Other members of the Governing Council include:
- Prof. Joseph Olurotimi Sanya
- Mr. Efe Emefienin Emmanuel
- Dr. Joyce Ogunyemi
- Alhaji Dahiru Abdullahi Ruma
The newly appointed Principal Officers of the university are:
- Vice Chancellor: Prof. James Olugbenga Aribisala
- Registrar: Mr. Oluwole Olalere Dada
- Bursar: Mrs. Adeniyi Rachael Ajayi
- Librarian: Prof. Isaac Oluwadare Busayo
A Milestone for Higher Education in Ekiti State
President Tinubu acknowledged the dedication of Senate Leader Michael Opeyemi Bamidele in advocating for the establishment of FUT Iyin-Ekiti. He urged the appointees to bring their wealth of experience and leadership skills to advance academic excellence, research, and institutional development.
