As the newly established Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences (FUTES), Iyin Ekiti begins operations, Senate Leader and esteemed son of the soil, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB), has made a landmark donation to support the university’s launch phase.
Demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the institution's successful start, Senator Bamidele presented two Coaster buses, one Toyota Hilux, two tricycles, and two dispatch motorcycles to facilitate administrative mobility and logistics.
The handover occurred shortly after the formal inauguration of the university’s administrative team, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Aribisala. The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye; Chairman of the Governing Council, Senator Binta Garba; Council Member Prof. Rotimi Sanya; and several other esteemed personalities from Iyin Ekiti and across Nigeria.
Senator Bamidele emphasised that the gesture acknowledges the significant work ahead and the urgent need to ensure safe, smooth, and effective mobility for the university’s pioneer administrators as they lay the foundation of this great citadel of learning.
The donation has been widely applauded as a timely and strategic intervention, underscoring the senator’s visionary leadership and deep commitment to educational advancement and the future of Iyin Kingdom.
